Park Bori

Park Bori is located along the city’s main traffic entrance and has the potential to become a link between the historic core of Nin and the salt fields to the north, as well as the surrounding residential areas to the south and west.

The foundation of the conceptual design is inspired by the geometric layout of the salt fields, the nature’s rhythm, and the layered character of Nin’s historical and natural landscape. By interpreting the identity of the space through a contemporary design language, the previously undefined area of the park is transformed into a dynamic and reflective zone for social interaction, recreation, and the interpretation of local values. The park becomes a key junction of new pedestrian routes connecting the old and new parts of the city.

New facilities for play, socializing, and recreation, along with a space for public events, are planned. A section of the park features an observation deck, and the installation “Park Bori” offers users a visual experience of the surrounding landscape and raises awareness of the importance of coexistence with nature.

The project places special emphasis on developing the forest canopy by planting trees and forming a windbreak belt to mitigate the impact of wind.

In this way, the park becomes a place of contemporary expression that does not forget its past, offering people of all generations a high-quality environment and spatial experience.
